OUR COMMITMENT

Maximum Seafood offers a wide range of wild-caught and farmed seafood products. We strive to source responsible seafood, caught or farmed in keeping with the industry's best practices. We recognize the complexities of seafood supply chains and work with our suppliers to minimize risks wherever possible. Our goal is to make sustainable seafood an easy and safe choice for everyone.

Certifications are one of the tools we rely on for our sustainable sourcing, offering a check at the fishery or farm level to minimize environmental impact. We prioritize programs recognized for safeguarding our natural resources through rigorous third-party evaluations. These include RFM and MSC for wild-caught seafood, alongside GLOBAL G.A.P, BAP, and ASC for farmed seafood. But what do all these acronyms mean in terms of supporting a responsible seafood supply to Maximum?

All these certification programs are benchmarked and recognized by the GSSI’s Global Benchmark Tool, which means these programs are reviewed annually to verify they provide a robust and credible certification process for fisheries and farms responsible production. What is meant by a ‘robust and credible certification’? Among others, it means the certification program has an appropriate third-party management system, actively involves its local and global stakeholders, operates transparently, and works with competent auditors. All of this helps to confirm that the fishery or farm operates in line with to the certification criteria, establishing practices for responsible fishing and farming.
